Oriel is run by Anna Wakerley with help from Gordon Aspin.  Anna studied Art History at Cambridge University and Gordon has a doctorate in exciting things to do with engineering.  

Oriel has shown at many Art Fairs: including Olympia Art and Antiques, Kensington Antiques Fair, the British Art Fair, the Works on Paper Fair and most recently  we were instigators and co-organisers of Connect Art Fair at the Mall Galleries.

 

 

 Oriel Fine Art has been dealing in interesting and affordable  artworks since the 1980's - based in the University city of Cambridge,where we have variously had a shared gallery space, a solo gallery  and now we work from home.  Paintings may be viewed there by prior arrangment and we are very happy to furnish extra photographs or sometimes to send them to you on approval. Do please feel free to ask.  Should you purchase from the website and find that it doesn't quite fit the bill, we can refund your money providing the art work is sent back immediately,  as it arrived to you, carefully packaged and in good order.

 

If you are able to join our mailing list we will be happy to send you tickets in advance for art fairs we are attending.

We observe all legislation around GDPR and will never share your details elsewhere.

Please note we are also registered for AML and will require your co-operation in adhering to the current AML protocols.

Finally please also be aware that we are required to pay ARR taxes on transactions above £1,000 - at a rate of 4%.  These monies are collected by agencies for distribution to the estates of the artists we sell.

 

 

  • Anti Money Laundering Policies

    How it operates:

    Anti Money Laundering Policy —Oriel Fine Art is required to take steps to comply with Anti Money Laundering procedures - for sales concluded over a certain amount we are obliged by law to verify the identity of clients: For individuals, we ask for a copy of a valid photo identity (passport, driving licence or national ID card) and proof of address. For companies, we require company details including proof of incorporation, directors and the ultimate beneficial owners. For Agents and advisers, we require you to identify the ultimate buyer in addition to yourself. Payments will need to be received from a bank account held in the same name of the client named on the invoice and match the identity documents given. Any information provided will be held securely, confidentially  and processed in accordance with Global Data Protection Regulations.
