A classic Terry Frost piece bringing together some of his favourite compositional elements, half suns, spirals, yellow and black offset colours.
His previous work with the sculptor, Barbara Hepworth, as a studio assistant, had opened up the possibilities of incorporating collage, something he continued to refine over the years balancing density of colour against shape and texture.
Today he is one of our best loved twentieth century artists with work in many public galleries; his originals and his prints are sought for many public and private collections worldwide, defining that St. Ives School style.
