Diana Armfield R.A. 1920-
Born in Ringwood, Hampshire. Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts. In 1949 married to Bernard Dunstan, also an artist. Was included in many mixed shows, including Festival of Britain. Solo exhibitions at Tegfryn Art Gallery, Anglesey in 1975 and 1978. Armfield began a long association with Browse & Darby, also exhibited in America and Australia. Elected RA in 1991. Among her commissions was one from the National Trust in 1988, another from HRH The Prince of Wales in 1989. British Museum, Contemporary Art Society of Wales and Government Picture Collection hold her work.
