'Ferry on the Thames'

Hazel Ward went to Goldsmith's College to study Art and then on to the Royal College of Art for postgraduate training. She exhibited in London - mainly through the Irving Galleries.
She was taught by Julian Trevelyan whilst at the R.C.A. and his influence in this post-1950's composition is clear - there is more than a nod to Trevelyan's Regatta lithograph for the famous Schools' Print series here.
